Entourage, the boy version of Sex And The City, could end its run with a movie.
That's according to Mark Wahlberg, the show's executive producer.
Speaking at the premiere of his new movie, The Lovely Bones, Wahlberg said that he believes there are two more seasons left in the adventures of Vince, Johnny Drama, Turtle and Eric. But he thinks the show could end with a feature film.
"There could be more [seasons]", he added. "But then a movie."
It's worked for Sex And The City, which made the leap to the big screen four years after the show ended in 2004, and is now filming a sequel. So there's no reason to believe that Entourage couldn't repeat that success, albeit with fewer montages involving extremely expensive shoes.
Plot Summary Of Entourage
Entourage was initially conceived when his assistant asked if he could film Wahlberg and his friends, calling them "hilarious". Other reports credit Eric Weinstein, a long-time friends of Wahlberg's, with the idea of filming the actor's group of friends. In order to be more satirical of the Hollywood lifestyle, a fictional approach was chosen rather than a straight documentary.
