There will be something a bit different on Bones season 7 dvd—two of the characters who did not previously have children are bonding as mothers by the end.

Well, Angela and Hodgins are now parents after she gave birth to Michael Staccato Vincent Hodgins in the season finale last year, and Brennan's words to Booth that she was pregnant with his child ended the episode. When the series returns (late this season in early November), Brennan will be in her third trimester and close to giving birth, meaning she'll have plenty on her mind to think about for when the baby comes. Michaela Conlin said"There's been a lot of scenes with the two of them talking about strollers and baby gear. I'm really glad that they're getting a chance to talk about something other than Brennan and Booth getting together. Instead they're talking about hormones, sleep patterns and names." It sounds like there will be plenty of bonding moments coming for the best friends, and it was Angela whom Brennan confided in about finally spending a night with Booth in "The Hole in the Heart."

The plot of children are not only able to talk about on Bones Seasons 1-6 DVD Boxset—at least Michael will be seen as well, as Conlin said, "I like that we're seeing the baby a bit. I thought maybe he would just be in day care all season. It's been fun for me to have a real, live child in my arms after so much talk about it." It seems that having a baby around will make for plenty of amusing moments, especially with Angela and Hodgins as Michael's parents—remember how Hodgins reacted when Angela thought she was going into labor and then did last season? Though this is a procedural drama, there are plenty of light-hearted moments as well, and so far they have been nicely interwoven with the cases of the week and the more serious material. Hopefully that continues in the upcoming, late-starting Bones season.
